Info:
The mysterious death of Keith Warren,
1986 in an affluent neighborhood of Springfield, Maryland at approximately 2 pm the deceased body of Keith Warren, 19 years old was found in the woods behind his families house. Keith had been living there with his mother and sister after his parent divorce. on all accounts he was well liked and had a promising future as he was preparing to go off to collage that spring.
It was a neighbor, out walking her dog when that discovered his body suspended from a tree by a noose which extended into an elaborate rope arraignment. The rope was anchored around the base of a large tree, extended 25 feet and then wrapped around a smaller sapling which then arched over another branch. Keith’s feet were on the ground, and his knees were bent so that he was almost in a sitting posture.
The medical examiner conducted a brief visual inspection of the scene and found no evidence of trauma or foul play, he deemed at that time that Keith had committed suicide, he claimed that Keith had used a log to jump off of and he was then killed by the pressure of his body weight against the noose. No autopsies were ordered and the body was taken to the funeral home and embalmed without Keith’s mothers knowledge or permission.
When the family asked for his clothing back, the funeral home told them that they were destroyed because of the levels of decay done to them. They were only given his jacket and boots that he had been wearing. Later when his mother went back to the tree in which her son had been found, it was gone, the tree had been taken from the site by the police.
Throughout the years questions and discrepancy remained, the family went on the hire private detectives and forensic scientist to try to help find the real circumstances of Keith’s death but as of today there have been no real answers.
