Trevor Hardy was in born in 1947 Manchester, England. He was a known as a British serial killer who murdered three girls in the area between 1976 and 1976.
Hardy’s murderous ways did start to show early on, as an 8 year old child, he appears in court for stealing from there he was arrested for a series of burglaries and at the age of 15 he became known as the youngest person to be sent to the local prison.
In 1972, while at a bar with his friend Stanley Obrien, Hardy attacks his friend with a pickaxe. He is sentenced to five years in jail for assault, the judge telling him during the sentencing that he is “a menace to society.” While in prison he starts plotting the murders of Stanley and a 14 year old girl named Beverly who he had been dating pre jail time. He is released 2 years later to find that Stanley had already died but he is determined to murder Beverly.
The murders began on New Years eve 1974 Hardy sees a girl who he presumes to Beverly, but sadly he has confused her with a 15 year old girl named Janet Lesley Stewart, he attacks Janet and stabs her in the throat and buries her in a shallow grave, before he buries her, he decapitates her and throws her head in a lake.
The second girl he murders is 17 year old Wanda Skala, she was murdered July 19, 1975 she worked as a barmaid and was walking home after he shift. Hardy tries to mug her, and as she starts screaming for help, he pulls her around a corner and starts beating her with a brick. Realizing that she has seen his face and can identify him, Hardy beats her to death with a paving stone and strangles her. He then bites off her nipples and pulls out her eyes, he leaves her partially buried body and a construction site, but takes her clothes and belongings as a trophy.
March, 1976 Hardy is on the run after attacking other women, and he is living by means of burglary, it is during an attempted burglary that he is caught by 18 year old Sharon Mosoph, seeing her Hardy goes into a frenzy, strangling her with her own tights, biting off her nipples and throwing her into a canal.
He is able to escape capture for six weeks, but the police start a manhunt looking for Hardy, it is after they follow his girlfriend that they are able to locate him.
Hardy writes a 40 page confession letter detailing the murders of these three women. On May 2, 1978 he is sentenced to life in Wakefield prison for triple murder.
September 23,2012 he suffered a heart attack and died in the hospital two days later.
