Info

It’s hard not to root for Christopher Dorner. You’re a young man that heeded a noble call to duty. You served your country. You put your ass on the line for America and got nothing in return. The United States government brought you in, happy to have another body for their industrial military meat grinder. They tore you down and rebuilt you in the image of the weapon they needed and when you left, you left with nothing but trauma and a clinical knowledge of weapons and military tactics.

You have to keep in mind that when Dorner went to war against the LAPD, innocent people got caught in the crossfire and that’s never okay, but when the government teaches you nothing but skills to kill and then sets you loose on society, it’s going to be that much harder to integrate. Especially when you try and take a job with the LAPD and come right up against its notorious institutional policy of racism. Dorner found himself on the bad side of one of the world’s most corrupt police forces and was out on the street when he tried to be good man among villains. Being the damaged individual that he was, Dorner took his combat skills to the cops and declared war on the LAPD, issuing a manifesto that made a remarkable number of salient points. He then led the cops on a state-wide manhunt that ended with Dorner cornered in a burning cabin. Faced with no escape but arrest, he put a bullet in his head.
